The School of Education and Social Sciences which is domiciled at Kitengela Campus, was launched in September of 2020. It comprises of four departments; Education, Business Administration, Counselling Psychology and Community Development. Before its launch, the departments were run independently. They are now under one Dean of School (Dr. Wanjiru Kinuva) who doubles up as the Chair of Counselling Psychology and Community Development departments. The dean manages the School together with the other members of the first ever school board Dr. Isaac Kasili (Chair, Education), Ms. Joslyn Karimi (Chair, Business Administration), Barbara Akundo (School Administrator) and Prof. Bill Kuert (coopted member).

The Dean chairs of the School Board and is deputized by Dr. Kasili while Barbara Akudo is the Secretary. Ms. Karimi and Prof. Kuert are members.

The role of the Board is to discuss and transmit opinions on matters impinging on the work of the School. The members play a major role in the School’s executive management and strategic development.
